Well i think that sociology is the study and classification of human society. It examines  the forms of social structure  groups,organizations, communities, social categories (such as class, sex, age, or race), and various social institutions (such as kinship, economic, political, or religious) affect human attitudes, actions, and opportunities.

. I defenetly think that the hallway culture of Bronx International HS be interesting to a sociologist because as they study the the different group and how they act and what they do, the hallway of BIHS are full of small group of different groups, and i thin thats something that might interest them, maybe on what effect the fact to be related with people of your own culture not sharing your culture with other people will have on the rest of the school. How people will react,what will people do, or what will they think?.

I think something that might be interesting for a sociologist is how people act, what they do, and how we treat our enveriment, because those action, might have a serious effect on our envirement

Based on today’s reading and worksheet #3, write 1-3 paragraphs explaining how sociology is different from other social sciences?

Well base on today’s reading i can say that The difference between sociology and other social sciences is that sociology is the study of human society and social interaction as a whole. It takes the broad approach to helping us understand the different societies in which we live. Other social sciences focus more on a specific areas of our social surroundings. So in other words Sociology is the study oh human society, they study our society, they things more in general, like general things, but other social sciences focus more on specific things.

To be more specific, Other social sciences focus more on things like, Achoeology, Comparative Musicology and strologhy, so as you can see this are really specific things, like they focus on things, all this thing has to do with our society, so, they can be studding how a city develops its just that they have another name for. For example Archaeology, its sound like, this is a big thing, like by studying this branch of social sciences you are studying many things, but its not true, this just focus on people cultures, so people might get confused, i said this because i get confused at the beguining because i saw this big word and i though that it was focusing on many things, but it wasn’t true.

Part 1:

The difference between sociology and biology is that, sociology is the study and classification of human society. It examines  the forms of social structure  groups,organizations, communities, social categories (such as class, sex, age, or race), and Biology  its the science that studies living organism, its also divided into botany and zoology,geology,into mineralogy and geomorphology, chemistry into its organic and inorganic branches. So in other words Sociology study human society, and Biology its the science that studies living organism.

There is a group of people in the Bronx, “sistas and brothas united” this is an organisation that is trying to make a better Bronx, all they do is that they make survey in order for people to write what they think, and what they feel, and depending on what people write they have an idea of what their next action its going to be about, its an organisation consists on a group of people who are trying to make a better Bronx. For me, this organization its really interesting because i think that its a chalange when a lot people know about this organisation and when they are expecting you to make a change, but, what happen if they dont make changes in one specific issue, that the people are waiting for you to solve it? will they be there supporting you? Will they continued with you?  that’s why i think this group or organization its really interesting.

Well, as you might know the Natural Sciences are things that are mostly involved with the universe. The Natural Sciences are to explain and predict the events in our Natural environment. In order to be more clear, Natural Sciences is composed by many things that makes this happen, for example one of the branch of Natural Sciences is, Botany. This consist on  the scientific study of plants, meaning to say that as plant are part of our universe, there are part of our environment, thats why Botany its part of Natural Sciences, and not part of the Social Sciences.

There are many branch of the Natural Sciences that help us understand the difference between Natural Sciences and The Social Sciences, but i think that there huge one, that help us differentiate one from the other„ and thats Geology. Geology is the study of the solid and liquid matter that constitutes the earth, i believe that there is not a better thing that help us diferetiante this two. So to conclude the Natural Sciences are different from the Social Sciences because the Natural Sciences focus on our envirement, they predict and explain the thing that happens in our environment, and the Social Sciences focus more on the study of social life of human groups and individuals.

What are the effects of living in an environment with no clocks, no view of the outside world, and minimal sensory stimulation?
Well for me would be really shocking, just with the fact that I will feel totally lost with no outside connection nether the beauty of the sunlight. Really I can’t say what would happen to me, because I might get crazy or have some physical and psychological problems.

2. Most prisoners believed that the subjects selected to be guards were chosen because they were bigger than those who were made prisoners, but actually, there was no difference in the average height of the two groups. What do you think caused this misconception?

Well at the very beginning of this experiment, we didn’t know who will going to be the guards or who will be the prisoner. Basically, this choice was made at random by flipping up a coin to decide who will be the guard or prisoner.

3. Do you see any connections to the readings we have done in class? yes alot because people with power was taking advantages of the people with no right because they were taking away becuase the were useless. the government were putting people in concentration camp, almost like a prisor people they were taking advantages from them.

What is their moral dilemma?

i think that the moral dilemma a lot of people knew and saw what was happening but they dint want to talk about. and another moral dilemma was that people who know what was happening they could do something about and get in problems ,or ignored what is happening and keep living the life as a bystander.

What would you have done if you faced this moral dilemma?

i will sacrifice my self for other people even do that i m only one person will nah change the power peoples mind but i think that i will sent a messenger to other people and maybe they will do something to solve the problem.

What did they do well? Did you see any cool connection?

what i like about this group was that there only 2 person and they try to do the presentation really good. and i think that they make some connection form the play waiting for gotdot and that was good of them.

What could they improve?

i think that they need to improve in there presentation is to have more responsible and organized there information.

The dilemmas of this story it was a lady who saw what was happening, that they was killing a lot of Jews people.

our moral dilemma was that a girl decided to help the Jews and he dint know then. She saw the armies taking away children and he stand up for then and she start helping even though here life was in danger.

What is their moral dilemma?

the women have to reside to stay or hide from hasis.

What would you have done if you faced this moral dilemma?

my opinion I would choose the first one because in my opinion people have to sacrificed something to see the change that you want and she is doing the Wright thing for me because you have to help other.

there explanation it was clear. and i also I like something of this group is that they look really comfortable presentation.

What could they improve?

the people in the building to choose between or help nothing the people in there. or let the people die in there.

What would you have done if you faced this moral dilemma?

i will help the people but i will also is write letter requesting help someone else can solve the problem.

what i like about this group was that they all participate and they feel comfortable and i think that they have a good presentation because they were a little funny because they use a cartoon from the munekito los sinson.

What could they improve?

in my opinion i think that they need to read less and less information in one page because it too much in one page and that makes people confusing.

For each group, write something from the 4 boxes from the paper we used in class.

Group 1.

Something that Binta did to solve something confusing she didnt know was to look up a word she didnt know and in that way it made it easy for her to understand teh reading. Also they divided the sections and summarize they reading.

Group 2.

They text to support their ideas. Carlitos use a line from the text to support his idea of how the people from the town were bystanders becaus they did not do anything to help the people. They made connections to the real world saying that everybody see something but they scare to talk about it.

Group 3.

Something they did to solve confusing things was that they groupmates discuss and ask eachone what they think about  the part they did not understand and like that figure it out everybody. They also use a line to prove their ideas and they also interpret the text in order to understand it better. They aslo break the readig in diferrent parts. Maria connected to a book she read about jews and adams said that the people that are like that they ended up being alone or death.

Group 5

They use the text to talk about important lines and confusing parts they talk it in group so everybody could undertsnad it.
